This clinician handbook was prepared by the Canadian Psychiatric Association (CPA), in collaboration with Directorate of Mental Health, as a resource to assist clinicians when working with patients at risk of suicide. It also provides guidance in postvention, because when a patient takes their life, it is so important that we support our colleagues and others affected by the death. We are grateful Colonel R.
