Implementation of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada’s Competence By Design initiative is happening across residency programs in Canada. Topics in this course include an introduction to competency-based medical education and the Competency By Design initiative; entrustable professional activities, milestones, and resident assessment; teacher as coach; direct observation and feedback; and competence committees.
To enter this activity into RCPSC Mainport, go to ‘Enter a CPD Activity’ and select ‘Section 3 – Assessment Activities’ and the domain ‘Clinician Educator’. Select ‘Introduction to Competence by Design’.
