COAST (Crisis Outreach and Support Team)
Interdisciplinary mental health team for adults and children. Families, youth or health care providers may call. Team will do a crisis assessment and follow-up plans with clients. (905) 972-8338

Catholic Children's Aid Society
The Catholic Children's Aid Society works to protect children from neglect and abuse. They provide support to families trying to meet the needs of their children, despite many personal and economic hardships. (905-525-5606)

Children's Aid Society
The Children’s Aid Society (CAS) of Hamilton is a not-for-profit agency that works to protect children from physical, sexual and emotional abuse and neglect. (905-522-1121)

McMaster Children's Hospital Family Resources Centres
Located in MUMC 3F clinic and Chedoke Site Evel Building. Offer a range of videos, books, articles covering various child and adolescent psychiatry topics. Booklists available via the Hamilton Health Sciences site.

Prenatal, Infant, Toddler & Preschool Years

EarlyON Child and Family Centres
Varying services such as drop-in times to play with toys and meet other children and parents, "Check it Out" Developmental Sessions (free visits with nurses, speech and language pathologists and teachers to discuss child development) and other services.
Incredible Years Parenting Program
Varying series of different workshops and courses to help parents of children, each with different areas of focus, including: Toddler behaviours, bedtime routines, oppositional behaviours, ADHD, sibling conflicts. See "Growing Together".
Public Health Services Prenatal Support
Prenatal support and classes for all mothers, including teen mothers.
Right from the Start Program
An 8-week program for moms and dads, to learn how to read babies' cubes and foster attachment security by watching video clips and discussing with other parents. See "Growing Together".

School-Aged Children

Alternatives for Youth
Self-referral service for children and youth of all ages and ranges of use or readiness to change with programs and counseling around alcohol and drug addiction. (905-527-4469)
Banyan Community Services
Programs for boys and girls aged 5-12 years old experiencing behavioural problems in the home, school or community.
Big Brothers/Big Sisters Association of Hamilton
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Hamilton and Burlington serves approximately 1,000 local children and youth annually by matching them with adult mentors. Children who are mentored are more likely to reach their full potential.(905) 523-3860
Child & Youth Mental Health Toolkits
Practical, user-friendly resource for screening, assessment and treatment of child and youth mental health problems commonly presenting in primary care.
Empowerment Squared
Free of charge after-school recreation, arts and skill development programs for children in East Hamilton neighbourhoods.
